The College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) will celebrate its inaugural College of Arts & Sciences Week Sept. 14-18, 2026, with a campus-wide showcase of the creativity and innovation happening across the College. Open to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members, the week will feature more than 30 events highlighting the arts, humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and mathematics.
“We are delighted that our inaugural CAS Week will showcase the many types of expertise and knowledge found in the College of Arts & Sciences,” says Kelly Joyce, Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences.
Throughout the week, attendees can explore research showcases, lectures, demonstrations, readings, open houses, discussions, and hands-on activities hosted by departments and programs within the College. Events represent the breadth of collaboration, discovery, and scholarship that define the CAS experience at UNC Greensboro. Events range from a Roman cooking demonstration and the launch of a new student Video Games and Esports Lounge to a geography quiz bowl and a faculty forum on ‘The Pulse of Democracy,’” and so much more.
CAS Week offers a unique opportunity to discover new ideas, connect with experts, and learn more about the many ways humanities and sciences shape our understanding of the world.
The weeklong celebration kicks off Monday, Sept. 14, with a G.O.A.T. Parade/Walk with Goats at 10 a.m. outside Foust Building. Join the stroll down College Avenue to Peabody Park alongside representatives from departments across the College.
Pick up your CAS Week Passport
Participants are encouraged to get a CAS Week Passport and collect stickers by attending events throughout the week. Those who attend at least four events and submit a completed passport to the CAS Dean’s Office in Foust Building, Suite 105, will receive a free College of Arts & Sciences T-shirt. Passports will be available to pick up in the CAS Dean’s Office, beginning this Friday, September 11. A limited number of passports will also be available at each event location, prior to the start of the event.
