B.A. in Liberal & Interdisciplinary Studies
Offering fully-online, interdisciplinary majors in the Humanities and the Social Sciences, the Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies is a bachelor’s-completion program designed for working adults who have at least 60 transferable credits toward a Bachelor’s degree, or who have already completed an Associate of Art or Associate of Science.
The BIPS program develops the transferable skills that today’s employers need — skills that are applicable to virtually any industry. Areas of focus include Health & Wellness, Arts, Entertainment, & Media, Service, or Self-Designed.
Our B.A. in history is the only fully-online program of its kind offered in North Carolina. This degree focuses on content in the U.S., Europe and “wider world” geographic areas with a goal of understanding the human past from the perspective of the people who lived it.
Ranked as one of the best online philosophy programs in the nation, our online bachelor’s in philosophy prepares students for careers in law, health care ethics, and more. This bachelor’s can be completed 100 percent online or combined with face-to-face classes for main campus students.
