The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Stipends program aims to stimulate new research in the humanities and its publication by supporting the work of individual scholars doing research or writing. Anyone can apply, as long as they are not a degree candidate at time of application. Theawardamount is $6,000, and the application deadline isSeptember 20, 2023You can find information on the program at https://www.neh.gov/grants/research/summer-stipends  

Sample applications that might inspire applicants or provide examples are on the website linked above. There you will also find a list of previously funded projects. 

On Wednesday, May 17, NEH will be hosting a webinar for administrators and prospective applicants. This session will introduce the program, describe the application and nomination process,and offerapplication-writing suggestions. This will be a great chance to ask questions, and the webinar will be recorded. Below you will find the webinar information.
