CAS AI Umbrella hosted its first event in spring 2026. The group brought together a panel of faculty and students to discuss the opportunities and challenges the use of artificial intelligence (AI) presents for teaching and learning.
Compuer Science Professor Shan Suthaharan is one of the recipients of the Ignite Transdisciplinary Research Award for a collaborative research project titled “Dynamics of Human Mobility after Natural Disasters in the Appalachian Mountains and Coastal Carolinas.” This interdisciplinary project brings together faculty from multiple departments to investigate how human mobility patterns evolve in the aftermath of natural disasters.
