Dr. Hunter Bacot, a Professor and Director of the Graduate Program in the Department of Political Science, has received an external award to establish a Master of Public Administration Graduate Research Assistantship at the Randolph County Economic Development Corporation (EDC). The project will provide professional learning opportunities for a graduate student in the MPA program while allowing the student a chance to contribute their effort and growing expertise to the agency. Over the course of an 8-month placement, the GRA will support projects and programs as directed by the Randolph County EDC, including such activities as community needs assessments, community mapping exercises, budgeting exercises, business recruitment, and marketing and communications.
