Rain and COVID-19 did not stop the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGSS) program from once again showing their appreciation for the housekeeping staff of UNC Greensboro.
On Monday, February 15, WGSS held its second annual Valentine’s Day Luncheon to thank those staff members who keep UNCG clean, healthy, and safe.
“Our university literally cannot function without our housekeeping staff, and they have helped make the campus safe during the pandemic,” said Dr. Lisa Levenstein, director of the WGSS program and a professor of history. “Our luncheon is intended to thank them and bring attention to their vital contributions to our UNCG community.”
Instead of last year’s banquet-style event, this year’s luncheon was adapted to include boxed lunches delivered at two locations on campus.
