Three UNCG faculty represented UNCG at annual meeting of the NAAHP

Three UNCG Biology Department faculty, Rob Cannon, Jeremy Ingraham, & Robin Maxwell, represented our institution at last week’s 5-day annual meeting of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions in Washington, DC.

At the meeting, Rob Cannon, (Emeritus) was recognized for his long-term commitment to the organization as the recipient of the Carol Baffi-Dugan Award for Service: “The Carol Baffi-Dugan Award for Service is a leadership award presented at each National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions National Meeting. The award’s namesake is a long-term National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions leader who, thorougher selfless commitment to both her Regional Association an National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions, has set an example of dedicated service for all to follow.”

Robin Maxwell was elected as a Member-at-Large of the Executive Council of the SAAHP (Southern Association of Advisors for the Health Professions) for the next three years. This is one of four regional organizations, and includes advisors from the region from Texas to West Virginia to Florida. She was selected as a member of the NAAHP national organization’s Committee on Diversity and Inclusion.
