The North Carolina Writers’ Network and the MFA in Creative Writing Program at UNC Greensboro bring you a full day of classes, workshops, conversations, Lunch with an Author, Slush Pile Live!, and more. This year’s Spring Conference will again be in UNCG’s MHRA Building, at the corner of Spring Garden and Forest Streets, and in Curry Auditorium next door, offering classes and discussions on the craft and business of writing.
The Creative Program at UNC Greensboro and The Greensboro Review will host a fiction and poetry reading featuring the 1st-year students in the MFA Writing Program on Thursday, December 4th at 7 PM at Greensboro Project Space, 111 E. February One Place. The event is free and open to the public.

A new mural created by UNCG students Aminah Coppage, Jalani Maxwell, and Myles Wilder brightens the College of Arts & Sciences Dean’s Office, drawing inspiration from the university’s history, including a tribute to the first Black students at the Woman’s College. The artwork also features symbolic elements like apples for good luck and hidden “Easter Eggs” for viewers to discover.
