Join the College of Arts & Sciences for the spring keynote event in this year’s annual Harriet Elliott Lecture Series, hosted by Communication Studies:
Our spring events get a little more personal, as we emphasize the “art” in the Art of Connecting. Featuring Dr. Lynn Harter – Professor of Communication at Ohio University, and Peacehaven – a longtime CST community partner, these events promise arts & crafts and highly-interactive workshops.
Speaker: Dr. Lynn Harter, Ohio University and the Barbara Geralds Institute for Storytelling and Social Impact
Lynn Harter is a celebrated Professor in Communication Studies at Ohio University. Guided by aesthetic and narrative sensibilities, her work focuses on the communicative construction of possibility as individuals and groups organize for survival and social change amidst profound vulnerability. Lynn is co-producer of the Emmy award-winning documentary series The Courage of Creativity, Senior Editor of the academic journal Health Communication, and co-host and co-producer of the Defining Moments podcast. She has published over 80 journal articles and book chapters and has edited four award-winning scholarly books.
