Two great funding opportunities managed by UNCG’s Network for the Cultural Study of Videogaming are due today, May 15th!If you have any questions, please email John Borchert ([email protected]) or Greg Grieve ([email protected]).

GP3 Seed Grants:
Provides up to $3,000 to support faculty members as they prepare an external funding proposal that engages with gaming-integrated learning, gaming, and/or Esports. The grant may support activities such as writing the grant, planning, collecting pilot data, purchasing equipment, traveling to archives, data analysis, or a consultant to evaluate the proposal.

SEA Curriculum Module Development Grants:
10 grants of $2500 each to transform an existing course into an asynchronous module.

UNCG  and our Scholastic Esports Alliance (SEA) is partnering with SparkNC–a nonprofit dedicated to accelerating learner progress along pathways to high-tech fields–to create learning units for students in SparkNC’s forthcoming High-Tech Learning Accelerator being piloted with 16 NC districts in the coming school year. 

Participating faculty will receive:
  • An orientation to the project in late May with SparkNC.
  • A design partner at SparkNC to help you make your unit accessible to a high-school audience.
  • Access to a website with full guidance, templates and project timelines to guide you through the unit development process.
