Dr. Faye Stewart, Associate Professor of German in the Department of Languages, Literature, and Culture, has received a grant from the German Embassy to support UNCG’s “Germany on Campus 2022” program. Also contributing to the project are LLC German colleagues Dr. Jocelyn Aksin and Dr. Richard Hronek.

The abstract below provides more info on the program.

Abstract: We look forward to participating in this fall’s Germany on Campus programming with a focus on connections between North Carolina and German-speaking Europe and on global citizenship and global exchanges. We seek to inspire and enable students to participate in international opportunities in and beyond central North Carolina, and to explore links between their studies, their interests, and the histories and traditions of German-speaking societies. All German courses scheduled in the fall semester will incorporate assignments that allow students to explore these topics. Participating in the 2022 Germany on Campus partnership would therefore allow us to complement our curricular offerings with invited speakers, an excursion to a local business, game nights, campus competitions, and meaningful public outreach.
