CAS Professors Win Prestigious Awards

Faculty with UNCG’s College of Arts & Sciences have continued their tradition of excellence by winning the following awards:

Susan AndreattaDr. Susan Andreatta, professor in Anthropology, recently won the prestigious Sol Tax Award from The Society for Applied Anthropology.

Andreatta was selected for her 20+ years of service to SfAA, her dedication to teaching, and innovative projects, such as Project Greenleaf, a successful program she directs that supports sustainable local agriculture.


Jo LeimenstollJo Leimenstoll, professor in Interior Architecture, was awarded the 2019-2020 Outstanding Graduate Mentor Award from UNC Greensboro Graduate School. Leimenstoll is credited with mentoring nearly half the Interior Architecture graduate students and connecting them to internships and jobs across the nation.

 

“This is no easy feat,” noted the committee, “and yet you also found time to serve on 15 committees, obtain large grants for the university, and stay relevant and true to the spirit of UNCG and the community it serves.”
