Dr. Jerry Walsh (Chemistry) and Dr. Lynn Sametz have received a new award from the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center to support Science Everywhere @UNCG in 2023.
The 8th annual Science Everywhere Festival will take place on April 22, 2023. The festival will provide STEM activities to all who want to discover new ideas and unlock their imagination. UNCG students, faculty, and staff are combining efforts to deliver innovative hands-on science activities at multiple venues across the UNCG campus to promote STEM education and research to learners of all ages. At the last in-person event in 2019, nearly 5000 people visited UNCG for the Science Everywhere Festival. Organizers hope to exceed this number in 2023. The Festival will be free to all visitors.
The party begins on April 21st with the annual Star Party. View the gorgeous night sky above Greensboro, learn about the stars, and gain insight from local astronomers.
