Travis Hicks, Associate Professor in the Department of Interior Architecture, has been awarded a $226,000 contract with the NC Department of Commerce to continue the Main Street Program. The project, a partnership of the IARC department and it’s Center for Community-Engaged Design (CCED), began in 2016. Since its inception, UNCG’s Main Street Program has provided assistance to state’s 94 Main Street communities, including completing designs on more than 275 projects in 50 NC towns.
