DESCRIPTION:Belinda Hodasi Jones was born in Ghana\, West Africa and has been creating art since she was a small child.  \n\n\n\nShe received her graphic design degree from the College of Art\, University of Science and Technology in Kumasi\, Ghana and began working for the Art Gallery at the Center of National Culture. \n\n\n\nIt was there that Ms. Jones realized\, “the freedom of creating from my soul was what I had always yearned to do.” \n\n\n\n“Nostalgia: An Explosive Collection of Scenes Representing the Rich Colors\, Traditions\, and Culture of Ghana” opens Thursday\, February 1 at 5 p.m. at the Gatewood Studio Arts Building. The exhibit runs through February 29\, 2024 from 9am to 8pm. \n\n\n\nThe artist will be in attendance on February 1\, and guests can enjoy light hors d’oeuvres.
